Editing a Panopto Video and More
Edit a Video
Here's a Panopto video on how to use the editor:
To edit video, keep Panopto browser window open. (If you accidentally closed, click the “Course Settings” link in Panopto block. Close the recording settings window.)
- Find the video you wish to edit.
- Hover your mouse over the video you wish to edit.
- Click Edit for changes such as cutting sections, adding captions, or adding a quiz.
- Click on title to preview the video.

Re-title a Video
To re-title your video, keep Panopto browser window open.
- Find the video you wish to edit.
- Hover your mouse over the video you wish to re-title.
- Click Settings>Overview>Name> Edit.
Note
You MAY want to do some more sophisticated editing that is not yet bulit into or is challenging in Panopto (such as transitions, multiple cuts or splices, new views or adding a text overlay –). If so, You can export your video (podcast) as an MP4 and edit in iMovie or Windows 10 Video Editor. Then re-upload to Panopto to share.
