Intune Setup Instructions
Computer AutoPilot/Intune Setup Instructions
Please start by connecting to the internet! If on campus you can connect to Lehigh Wi-Fi. If you are off campus you can connect to the best network that is available to you. If you are connected directly to Ethernet the setup should proceed to step 2 automatically.
If using Wi-Fi, select the “Lehigh” Wi-Fi network, and make sure to put a check in the box to “connect automatically.” Click the “Connect” button.
Type in your Lehigh University username. Your username is the section of your Lehigh email address before the @ symbol. Type your Lehigh password.
Choose “Connect.”
Select the Next button in the lower right corner.
If Ethernet shows connected (lights blinking) skip to Step 2 below.
Once connected to the Internet you are presented with a screen that says, “Welcome to Lehigh University.”
If you do not see this “Welcome to Lehigh” screen, STOP and do not proceed offline. Check your Internet connection and try starting over (reboot) or contact the LTS Help Desk for assistance.
Type your Full Lehigh email address (e.g. abc320@lehigh.edu) and choose Next.
On the “Enter your password” screen type your Lehigh email password and select Next in the lower right corner.
You will need to further authenticate your login via a DUO request.
Once you have authorized the DUO request the setup process will automatically initiate. It is important that your computer stay connected to the Internet while this process continues, otherwise you may need to start over. Depending on the network speed this will typically take 10-15 minutes, but if you have slower Internet that time can be longer.
Once the initial process is complete the computer will take you to a Windows background display where you will need to press Enter and then sign in using your full Lehigh email address and password.
The setup process should now be complete.
Depending upon the number and types of devices you have attached to the computer, there may be additional driver and software updates that should be applied. Windows updates will be automatic, or you may choose to initiate them. Once you have accomplished initial setup and updates have completed, you may contact your LTS Computing Consultant to make any additional customization or software requests.
