Student Directions on how to use Google Assignments

Submission

Note: It is recommended that you use Google Chrome or Firefox Browser and not Safari.

If this is your first time using Google Assignments in a course, you will be prompted to sign in to your Lehigh Google account if not already logged in, as well as to enable cookies.

  1. Find the assignment link and open in a new window (if required)

  2. If prompted, sign in to your Google Workspace account to link it to the Course Site.

    • Link to your Lehigh Google Credentials (i.e. xxx111@lehigh.edu)

  3. Link and authorize sharing to your Google Account

    • You will only have to link your account once per course.

NOTE: If you accidentally log in with a non-Lehigh Google account, you will need to select Switch Account to link your Lehigh Google account instead.

  1. Allow Google Assignments access to your Google Drive.

  1. Add Files or create new Google files to associate with the assignment.

  2. Click the blue Submit button.

Once the professor has graded, added comments,  and returned the file, students will get an email. This email is from noreply@google.com and may read  “Your assignment has been returned and is ready for you to review. View assignment (Web Link)“

You will then be able to open the file again, reply to comments, make edits, mark comments resolved, and resubmit as needed.

You should only access Google Assignments from Course Site in order to make sure the permissions work properly.
