Older versions of macOS have a slightly different layout for the 'System Preferences' screen, but are functionally the same.
1. Click on the 'Apple' menu, and select 'System Settings' and locate the 'Privacy and Security' pane.
Your version of macOS might call it 'System Preferences', and the layout
2. In the 'Privacy and Security' pane, click on the 'Full Disk Access' tab, and find the listing for 'CrashPlan', and click the toggle button on the right-hand side to enable it.

3. You'll be prompted for your macOS password, and then see a note about CrashPlan needing to be re-started. Allow both.
