macOS: Troubleshoot Wireless
If you encounter a problem connecting to the wireless network, follow the troubleshooting steps below (click on the images to enlarge them):
1. Click the WiFi icon on the top menu bar. In the menu that pops down, you should see a blue highlight on the lehigh network listing indicating that you are connected to the Lehigh internal network.
If you are still unable to view web pages, open the WiFi menu again and select 'WiFi Settings.'
2. On the Network pane of the System Settings app, Click the 'Details' button:
- Your IP address should start with 128.180
3. Click the TCP/IP tab.
Make sure that:
- Configure IPv4 is set to Using DHCP
- Configure IPv6 is set to 'Automatic' or Off.
4. Click the DNS tab:
Make sure that both 'DNS Servers' have IP addresses starting with '128.180.'
5. Click the 802.1X tab:
Make sure that you are listed as 'Authenticated via EAP-PEAP (MSCHAPv2)
5. If any of the items noted in steps 2-5 are incorrect, you'll want to delete and re-create the network connection record.
Click on 'Forget This Network'
6. You should be taken back to the main WiFi Settings pane, where the 'lehigh' network will still appear in the list.
Move your mouse cursor to the 'lehigh' listing, and click Connect.
7. Enter your Lehigh Username and Password, and click OK.
