Building access during COVID

In the Fall of 2020, access to campus buildings is controlled by a number of factors, including your status at the university, the mode of learning that you selected as a student, and health considerations including your completion of the Hawkwatch Self-Assessment and your responses. Please go to Lehigh's Coronavirus-19 web page for more information.

Problem

I can't get access to a Lehigh building that I should be able to access.

Students

  1. Did you select remote-only as your mode-of-learning? If you selected this option, or if you did not respond, you will not have building access.
  2. Students need to complete the Required fall expectations Course Site tutorial before gaining access to buildings.
  3.  Did you complete your daily Hawkwatch assessment, either through the Hawkwatch app or the web-based version? View information about the COVID self-assessment.
    1. Make sure to use your LEHIGH EMAIL address to complete the self-assessment and make sure that it does not contain typos. Non-Lehigh email addresses or mis-typed Lehigh email addresses will not be processed.
    2. You need to allow ONE HOUR for self-assessments to be processed before you will get access to the building. This is the most common reason students are not able to access a building. Go to your QR code in the Hawkwatch app and check the date/time stamp for your completion.
    3. Check to make sure you have a green badge at the end of the self-assessment, indicating you are cleared to come to campus.
  4. Is there a hold on your access from the Health and Wellness Center?
  5. What is the condition of your Lehigh ID card? Has it been damaged? It may be a physical problem with your card.
