Students - Establishing Your Lehigh Account Credentials
Welcome to Lehigh!
This document will provide the steps necessary to complete establishing your Lehigh account credentials with sample screenshots as visual guides. This is a necessary step to complete prior to being able to pay your deposit.
We're here to help you through this process! Should you have any questions or trouble establishing your account, please do not hesitate to contact our Library and Technology Services Help Desk at (610)758-4357 for assistance.
Here are a few helpful tips you need to know before beginning the process of establishing your LU account credentials
Do:
Create strong passwords: Think of a phrase or sentence and use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
Use unique passwords: Use a different password for every account used
Use a password manager: We recommend using a password manager to securely store and manage your passwords.
Use 2FA: Once you receive notification to set up your LU email, there will be a link to enroll in two-factor authentication (2FA). Once it is time to enroll, you will be provided with the link to the instructions on how to complete enrollment. This will not work until the day your email account is accessible.
Don't:
Don't reuse your Lehigh password: Never use your Lehigh University password for any other online account.
Don't use your Lehigh email for personal accounts: Keep your Lehigh email separate from your personal online activity.
Don't write down your password: Memorize it or store it securely in a password manager.
Don't share your password: Keep your password secret.
Don't use personal information: Avoid using things like your birthday, pet's name, family names, or address in your password.
Don't use simple passwords: Stay away from common words, short phrases like "password", “spring”, “summer”, “fall” or "1234", or keyboard patterns like "qwerty" or "1111".
