Welcome to Lehigh!
Here are a few helpful password tips you need to know before beginning the process of establishing your new LU account.
Do:
Create strong passwords: Think of a phrase or sentence and use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
Use unique passwords: Use a different password for every account used
Use a password manager: We recommend using a password manager to securely store and manage your passwords.
Use 2FA: Once you complete establishing your LU account, there is a link at the bottom of this page to enroll in two-factor authentication (2FA).
Don't:
Don't reuse your Lehigh password: Never use your Lehigh University password for any other online account.
Don't use your Lehigh email for personal accounts: Keep your Lehigh email separate from your personal online activity.
Don't write down your password: Memorize it or store it securely in a password manager.
Don't share your password: Keep your password secret.
Don't use personal information: Avoid using things like your birthday, pet's name, family names, or address in your password.
Don't use simple passwords: Stay away from common words, short phrases like "password", “spring”, “summer”, “fall” or "1234", or keyboard patterns like "qwerty" or "1111".
