Computer Purchasing Overview
Another of LTS's Client Services Team's primary roles is assisting the campus community with the selection and purchase of computers for use in every aspect of school work. As you might guess, our guidance is couched in terms of who's going to own the computer, and the vendor it's coming from. Follow the links below to pages with the guidance you need.
The primary factor in choosing how to purchase is to determine whose funds are paying for the machine. If your department is paying, Lehigh will own the machine, and you’ll need to follow guidelines for “Departmental Purchases”.
Our preferred vendors also offer discounts to all Lehigh students, faculty and staff for machines that they purchase for themselves with their own funds. For these, follow instructions for “Personal Purchases”, including:
