Jira projects use the standard default project management workflow (both the Jira software and Jira Work Management projects)

To do or backlog - This category includes tasks that are yet to be initiated but are essential components of the project.

Planned - Tasks that the team has committed to completing within a specific iteration, which typically ranges from 1 to 4 weeks. Planned tasks should encompass high-priority work scheduled for the immediate future.

In progress - Tasks currently being actively worked on. If a task has not been actively addressed by the assigned individual or team for more than 2 days, it should not remain in progress. Consider moving it back to the To do/backlog or marking it as stalled if there are dependencies on an external team or obstacles that need resolution.

Stalled - Tasks that are at a standstill due to external dependencies or unresolved obstacles. It is the responsibility of the project manager to take necessary actions to ensure these tasks progress.

Done - Tasks that have been successfully completed and meet the predefined criteria for completion. The project board will display items marked as Done for 2 weeks before archiving them.
