If you have a need to do a significant amount of work in SPSS, a local installation may provide more performance or convenience than using it via LUapps. Follow these instructions to install the program onto your computer.
1. Download the installer from software.lehigh.edu.
- In a web browser, navigate to https://software.lehigh.edu.
- Click the "Log In" button, and enter your Lehigh username and password.
- In the search bar, enter SPSS, and click on the entry for IBM SPSS/PASW Statistics.
- Click the row for the version you need, and click the big green "Download" button.
2. Start the Installer
- Find the installer in your 'Downloads' folder, and double-click it to run it.
- Click 'Continue' or 'Next' to perform a default installation.
3. Accept the License Agreement
- Click 'Continue' on the Mac, or 'I accept the terms . . ' on Windows.
4. Run the Installation
- On the Mac, click 'Install' to accept the default installation location, and on Windows, click 'Next', and then 'Install'.
