SPSS Statistics is a statistical software suite developed by IBM for data management, advanced analytics, multivariate analysis, business intelligence, criminal investigation. Long produced by SPSS Inc., it was acquired by IBM in 2009. Current versions have the brand name: IBM SPSS Statistics.
Lehigh University manages a campus site license for SPSS that is available for faculty, staff or students at Lehigh. There There are two methods of obtaining and/or for using the SPSS software:
Virtually via LUapps

LUapps is a virtual software delivery system that allows users to access a variety of software titles. In most cases, the software available via LUapps is the newest version available. The SPSS License is renewed each year on October 1, so if a newer version becomes available at that time, it will be upgraded during the winter break.
2. Download the software to be installed on Lehigh owned or personally owned computers. Go to https://software.lehigh.edu/install/ , login using your Lehigh userid and password and scroll to IBM SPSS listing to download the software. Lehigh maintains several versions of SPSS from this download site. Each version has a unique set of license keys. The installation instructions are listed below:
Windows/Mac:
Step 1: Once you locate the IBM SPSS version you would like to download on Lehigh's software site (https://software.lehigh.edu/install/), click on the green Download button and then the Agree & Download button (In Windows, the installer will be placed on the Windows desktop, on the Macintosh, the installer will be placed in the Downloads folder)
Step 2: Double click on the Installer file to start the Installation

Step 4: Click Continue to accept the License (Macintosh) or Accept the terms in the License Agreement (Windows)

Step 5: Click Install (Macintosh) or Next and then Install (Windows) to place SPSS in the proper location on the Hard Drive

Step 6: When the install is finished, click Finish
Step 7: Launch SPSS for the first time (Macintosh - go to Applications, Windows - go to the Start menu)
Step 8: Once SPSS Launches the license will not be valid and the following box will appear - click on Launch License Wizard to active the license
Step 9: Click Next at the License Status box
Step 10: On the next screen, make sure to select the Authorized user license option
Step 11: At the Enter Codes screen, make sure to enter the license key (under Enter Code)that is listed under the SPSS version you are installing on https://software.lehigh.edu/ and then click Next.
Step 12: You should receive a Authentication Succeeded message. Click Next to continue
Step 13: You will receive a message indicating the expiration date of the software. Click Finish and you are good to go!
