Linking a Personal Account to Your Lehigh Business Account
In addition to the Lehigh administered Business account, Faculty and Staff are also eligible to link a personal Lastpass account to their Business account. This is a necessity if you want to store non-Lehigh passwords and information in Lastpass. Once you link a personal Lastpass account please make note of the following:
- When signed into your Lastpass Business account you will have access to both your accounts within the same Lastpass vault view
- Lehigh cannot access any information stored in your personal account, unlike your Business account
- If you separate from Lehigh, you will not lose passwords or data stored on your Personal account, unlike your Business account
- If you save a website/password that uses your lehigh.edu email it will automatically be stored in the Business account
- If you save a website/password that used your personal email it will automatically save to your personal account.
After logging into your Lehigh LastPass Business account for the one of the first times, you will typically be prompted to add this free account. Simply follow the given prompts to do so. If you have not been prompted or wish to add an account after initially declining to do so, LastPass has a support page that will walk you through the process
- Create a personal Lastpass account
if you already have a personal lastpass account proceed to step 2
Link your personal Lastpass account to your Lehigh Business account
Sign-in to Lehigh Business Lastpass account and open your vault
Click on "Link Account" on the right-hand side of the Lastpass vault
Enter the email address and Master Password of your personal Lastpass account and click on "Link Account"
Your personal Lastpass account is now linked to your Business account. In the Lastpass vault Lehigh Business account items are at the top and your personal account items are underneath
Unlink your personal account
You can unlink your personal Lastpass account by opening the Lastpass vault and right-clicking on the personal account email address. Click-on "Unlink Personal account"
