It has the following features:

  • Secure storage: Stores passwords in an encrypted digital vault
  • Access: Access passwords from any device
  • Autofill: Automatically fills in usernames and passwords on websites and apps
  • Passkeys: Manages FIDO2 passkeys

  • BreachWatch: Notifies users in real-time if their stored credentials are found on the dark web
  • Sharing: Allows users to share passwords, passkeys, and files with others securely

Why did we transition from LastPass to Keeper?

After several LastPass data breaches of encrypted customer password vaults, Library and Technology Services suspended new Lehigh LastPass enrollment on January 3rd, 2023. To improve our security posture, we switched to Keeper, a robust Password manager.

Getting started

Keeper has both a desktop and mobile app. Additionally, it offers a browser extension called KeeperFill for use on the web. The desktop application allows you to easily transfer vaults from LastPass without the need to import/export CSV files.

Faculty and Staff

Enroll in Lehigh Keeper Password Manager

Faculty and staff must enroll in Keeper through Lehigh's

Keeper Self-Enrollment Portal.

On the web page, click on the 'Enroll' button.
This will initiate the provisioning process, which will result in an email invitation to join Keeper password manager, but can take up to two hours.

Account Setup

  • Once you receive the invitation email click on the button "Setup your account now!", this process will open a new tab in your browser and start the account creation.

Keep the default and click Next

The process will take a few seconds and a new tab will open with your vault ready to be used, at this point your vault will be empty.

KeeperFill Browser Extensions

With KeeperFill, you can autofill your passwords and save new login credentials to your vault. The KeeperFill browser extension is available for every web browser.

If you don’t have the browser extension installed, you will have the option to install it by clicking on the radio button “Install Browser Extension” and then “Install Now”, again a new tab will open, click on Get or Install the extension, (depending on your browser) it will look like this:
