The Cisco Jabber softphone is a communications tool for the Lehigh University phone system. The main purpose of the client is to allow that is part of Lehigh's unified communications platform.  Cisco Jabber is an application program that allows faculty and staff to send make and receive phone calls for to and from their main Lehigh phone extension from using mobile devices and desktop devicescomputers. While the client application does offer chat /instant messagingfeatures, we recommend that you continue to use support Google Chat and strictly use Cisco Jabber only for phone calls.
