Library and Technology Services is introducing Zoom One licensing campus-wide, supporting the University’s goal of creating an Organization of the Future which aligns with the University Strategic plan. Starting in September 2024, Lehigh will adopt a "softphone-first” approach, prioritizing the Zoom Client for phone calls via computer or smartphone. This shift will eliminate the need for most physical Cisco phones, providing a more streamlined and familiar communication experience through the Zoom platform.
Lehigh University is transitioning from physical Cisco phones to virtual Zoom soft phones. With the Zoom phone feature, you no longer need to press 7* to dial outside the university—simply dial the 10-digit number (e.g., 610-758-3000). For extensions, continue using 8* followed by the last four digits of the office number.
