  3. Select Accept and install when prompted with the License Agreement.
  4. Select Yes to the User Access Control prompt. The Launch Cisco Jabber box should remain checked.
  5. Check the box to Start Cisco Jabber and select Finish
  6. Cisco Jabber will open and is ready for configuration and use.

Configuration Settings

Your client is ready to send and receive phone calls but below are possible configuration changes you might want to investigate. To configure your Cisco Jabber client, locate the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select Options from the drop-down menu.

General:

  • On startup, check the Start Cisco Jabber when the computer starts box. Click Apply. If you opt out of this setting, you will need to launch Cisco Jabber manually from the Windows Start menu in order to receive call notifications.

Audio:

  • The audio is dependent on the device used (e.g., PC or headset.) Select the desired choice for the Ringer, Speaker, and Microphone.

Calls:

  • Check the Mute audio by default for Jabber calls box.
  • Bring the Conversation window to the front:
  • Computer/On all Calls
  • Phone/On all Calls

Video:

  • Lehigh does not support video calls at this time.

Notifications:

  • Check the All incoming calls box.
  • Check the Mute all sounds when on a call box.
  • Set the desired ringtone.

Sign out and back in to the Cisco Jabber client to enable changes made in settings. Note: do not select “reset Jabber” during the sign-in process as this will return your settings to the default.
