Minitab is available for Faculty/Staff at Lehigh to be installed on Lehigh Owned computers. The installers and License Files are located at software.lehigh.edu.
Download the Minitab installer
- Go to software.lehigh.edu and login, locate the installer.
- You will select Download and (agree to the terms and conditions) and select Windows 10 installer (.exe file). Place it at a location you can easily access (for example - your Desktop)
- Repeat Step 2 and download the Minitab license file (.lic file) as well and place in the same location (your Desktop)
Minitab has changed the way licenses are acquired and the desktop downloaded. Their license model has changed to a Named user account/software as a service enviroment. All previous users (past year) of Minitab will be assigned accounts automatically, others may request an account by contacting the help desk at www.lehigh.edu/help or call 8-HELP. Please follow the steps below to access Minitab and/or download the Minitab Client.

Windows Users:
- Login to the Minitab portal at: https://app.minitab.com/ (using your Lehigh E-mail)
- Login using your Lehigh UserID and Password
- It the Minitab Portal, under "My Products" select 'Minitab Statistical Software"
- Click on "Download Desktop App" and download to your Desktop
- Move to the Installing Minitab Desktop App instructions below:
Macintosh Users:
- Login to the Minitab portal at: https://app.minitab.com/ (using your Lehigh E-mail)
- Login using your Lehigh UserID and Password
- It the Minitab Portal, under "My Products" select 'Minitab Statistical Software"
- Click on "Open Web App"
- There is no Desktop App for the Macintosh, users must use the Web Application
Installing the Minitab Desktop App (For Windows Only)
- Locate the location of the Installer (on your Desktop).
- To start the installation process click the installer.
- Click "Next" until you get to the "How do you activate the software?" box.To begin the installation
- Click on the "Activate with a license" option and click 'Next"
- On the "Select a Licensing Method" box, select the "FileSign In" option and locate the .lic file you downloaded to your Desktopclick "Next"
- Click 'Next" for the destination folder - and then the "Install" button
- Minitab will install - click the "Finish" button and you will be good to go.
