Step-by-step guide
- First, navigate to this link and login using your Lehigh University credentials.
- After logging in, you will see a page that lists machines you have available recovery keys for. You will notice there are potentially active and inactive machines as shown below.
- If you know the machine name of the device you are looking for, click the device to expand it (the first device above is expanded) and click "View Bitlocker Keys." If you are unsure of your device name, expand any active device and click "View Bitlocker Keys" within. You will see the following after clicking the noted button.
- The highlighted portion is the first 8 digits of your recovery key ID. This is what will be presented on the Bitlocker recovery screen on the device that is having issues. If the recovery key ID 8 digits on this page matches what you have on the device, then you have the correct system chosen. You can now proceed to click show recovery key to obtain your Bitlocker Key. If the key ID 8 digits do not match, try another system within the list of available systems. If no system matches your key ID, please check https://mbam3.lehigh.edu/SelfService for a key, as your system may not be within the Intune environment. Or, simply contact your LTS computing consultant or the LTS help desk for further assistance.
