This tutorial will teach you how to turn a photo into line art in Photoshop. Before and after (pictured above).

Step 1: Right click on the first layer and choose duplicate layer. If the layer is locked simply double click on it to unlock.

Step 2: Go to the Layer menu then New Adjustment Layer and Hue/Saturation.

Step 3: Bring the slider all the way to the left to desaturate the image.

The image should now be black and white.

Step 4: Highlight the middle layer and go the blending options and choose Color Dodge.

Blending options are right above the layers where it reads Normal.

From the dropdown choose Color Dodge.

The image will look like this with color dodge applied.

Step 5: Go to Image, then Adjustments, then Invert. (Shortcut is command I on the keyboard for Mac, or control I on a PC).

The image will now look like this.

Step 6: Go to Filter, then Blur, then Gaussian Blur.

Step 7: Choose a value between 4-7 pixels and click OK. This range seems to work best.

Here is the final image.

Step 8: Don't forget to save. Go to File, then Save As to export your image.
