I typically address this topic through a powerpoint and a lecture / discussion. To support running this all online, I've broken it up into segments. For each segment, you can look at the slides yourself or just watch the video. The slides will continue URLs and other info in the Notes section. This is not an exhaustive treatment of the topic, but it should be enough to get you started in thinking about how you present the maps that you make and how to unpack and explore the maps that you encounter.
