Create a New Product - Transact

New products are titled Item Codes.

Access Store to Edit

  1. Login to Transact Backend here: http://go.lehigh.edu/emarketadmin

  2. Left Nav > Store Setup

  3. Find your store in the drop-down on the component

Add a New Product

  1. Left Nav > Item Codes

  2. ADD NEW RECORD button

  3. Enter latest number code in Item Code

    1. Follow next in order using the three number method.

      1. Store should start with 000, then 001, 002… continuing

  4. Category Code

    1. If the product is to be assigned to similar group, assign to category if it is set up.

      1. If not set up, continue this process for a new product then follow the directions in Set Up New Product Category

  5. Description

    1. This is the title or name of the product

  6. Long Description

    1. A brief description of product

  7. Receipt Text

    1. This is where you add additional information on the receipt email sent after a purchase to the customer

  8. G/L

    1. Value must be: 000000

    2. This is not the Index number for banner

  9. Image

  10. Set the Price

    1. If the price is free, $0

  11. Can user change the price?

    1. Select this if the you want to allow the price to be editable to for the consumer

      1. An example of this is if an invoice is sent and the cost is different

  12. Can user specify the quantity?

    1. You can set the minimum and maximum of number the customer can purchase

  13. Quantity

    1. If you are tracking inventory or quantity of the product, you must select the Inventory Code that matches your store

      1. If not set up contact dlo219@lehigh.edu to set on up

    2. Set the Available Inventory

  14. Collect customer information?

    1. Select Do you want to collect additional information when this item is purchased?

    2. Click Continue

    3. Add fields from the Available Reference Types box to the Selected Reference Types

    4. If it is not created, select Add New Reference Type

      1. Add New Reference Type

        1. Reference Type

          1. Brief name that identifies the field

        2. Descrition

          1. Readable name

        3. Field Type

          1. Text

          2. Checkbox

          3. Horizontal Radio Buttons

          4. Vertical Radio Buttons

          5. Drop down

            1. If items have different price points, use this one.

            2. Add Reference Detail

            3. Value, Descrition, Price

          6. Explanatory Text

            1. This can allow for longer text describing the product if the Long Description maxes out.

        4. Prompt

          1. Name of the field

        5. Required?

        6. Save

      2. Click Continue

  15. Click Continue

*** Please note, you must contact dlo219@lehigh.edu to add banner code to your product. Please include the full Item Code and Item Description and if you know either the banner code of Index. ***

Push Live

  1. Immediately?

    1. Left nav > Implement store

    2. Continue button

  2. Later?

    1. Left nav > Store Scheduler

      1. Any change made to the whole store can be delayed by scheduling it.

      2. Only one scheduled time at a time
