Install Matlab on Personally Owned Computers

1. Follow the Lehigh Matlab link (go.lehigh.edu/ssomatlab) to create your Lehigh Mathworks account.

Use a different password for your MathWorks Account than the one you use for Lehigh!

2. Download Matlab at the MathWorks site. Click the download button for your OS and the current version.

3. Locate the installer you downloaded in your file browser. The name of the installer file is:

Windows: matlab_"version"_win64.exe

Mac OS X: matlab_"version"_maci64.zip

Where "version" represents the version number. For example, 2022a or 2022b

4. Start the installer:

Windows: Double-click the installer file you downloaded in the previous step. The Windows Self-Extractor runs, and then the installer starts.

Mac OS X: Double-click the installer file you downloaded in the previous step. This action extracts the files and creates another file called matlab_"version"_maci64. Double-click the new file, then double-click InstallForMacOSX to start the installer.

5. In the installer, sign in with your MathWorks account.

6. Agree to the terms and click Next

7. Select the license you want to use.  Ensure the “Licenses” radio button is checked, then click on the name of the license in the table. For general purposes, “Individual” should be selected.

8. Select the products you want to download and install. If you do not see the products you want, click on the Licensing tab at the top and select a different license.

9. Confirm your selections and click Next to install.

10. Wait for the Installation Complete page and click Close.
