Installation instructions to local computer
While the following steps are specific to Mac, the Windows installation process follows these steps very closely.
1. Go to the Software Page, choose your version, and click the green button to download the installer
2. Double click on the .dmg file to open the Download Manager
3. Confirm the download location
4. The download will start. This may take a few minutes
5. When the download is complete, click Launch to open the installation window
6. Follow the on screen instructions. Click continue and enter your Mac computer’s password
7. In the new window, you can drag and drop the Mathematica icon into the Applications folder icon
8. Then, double click on the WolframScript.pkg icon. Enter your Mac computer’s password when prompted and complete the installation
Before proceeding, you must connect to the Lehigh VPN if you are off campus. This ensures you can connect to the Lehigh license server.
9. Open your computer’s Applications folder and double click Mathematica to run the application
10. When you run Mathematica for the first time, you will be prompted to Activate your product. Instead of entering a code, click the button that says "Other ways to activate."
11. Choose "Connect to a network license server" and enter the server name located on the Software Page (listed under License Servers). Click activate and agree to the license agreement
12. You should now be able to access Mathematica on your computer
