iOS (iPhone and iPad) Cisco Jabber Client Installation
Install Cisco Jabber
Go to the Apple App Store, search for “Cisco Jabber” and click Get to download
When the download is complete, launch Cisco Jabber by clicking the Open icon
Click OK or Don’t Allow (your choice) to allow Cisco Jabber to access your contacts
Click OK or Don’t Allow (your choice) to allow Siri to use Cisco Jabber
Click Allow to allow Cisco Jabber to send you notifications
Click Accept to indicate that you will not use Jabber for 911 calls
Swipe left through the next 2-3 startup screens until you see the Get Started Now button on the bottom of the page. Click Get Started Now
Click OK to allow Jabber to use your microphone
At the Cisco Jabber screen, enter your Username@lehigh.edu and click Continue
You will be taken to a second sign-in screen; enter your Username (i.e. lh00 or bjp414) and password and click Sign In
Select OK on the screen noting that Cisco Jabber should not be used for 911 calls
Configuration Settings
Your client is ready to send and receive phone calls but below are possible configuration changes you might want to explore. To configure your Jabber iOS client, tap on your photo/inital icon at the upper left of the screen and select Settings.

Choose Jabber ringtone
Vibrate
Choose options for Jabber
Privacy
Enable TouchID if desired
Status
Choose options for automatic signout (recommended: “Never”) and automatic away
Display
Show contact photo and contacts
Connect on Demand VPN
Recommended setting: No
Audio and Video
Defaults recommended
Call Options
Defaults recommended
Call Forwarding
Recommended setting: Do not forward calls
Important information
Video service via Jabber is not currently available.
Cisco Jabber must be open and running in the background on your phone in order to receive calls. Otherwise, the call will go to voicemail.
