Linux (and Unix) Support

Although the largest body of computers at Lehigh run either Microsoft's Windows, or Apples macOS, a small but gradually growing segment run versions of Linux, or other versions of Unix. These are usually researchers, needing to run specific software written for those operating systems, but with the improvement of the user interfaces in these systems, an increasing number of users are choosing them for daily use.

Since Lehigh's High Performance Computing systems run Linux, as do many systems in the College of Engineering, the Research Computing Team and Engineering Computing Consultant team provide most of the Linux and Unix support on campus.

While lehigh.edu/help is the best place to request support for immediate needs, you can also send a note to lehigh-linux-list@lehigh.edu, which forwards to a number of Linux users and supporters in LTS, for more informal discussions or questions.
