New Windows PC Setup Instructions (InTune Setup)
Please start by connecting to the internet! If you’re on campus, you can connect to Lehigh Wi-Fi. If you are off-campus you can connect to the best network that is available to you.
If using Wi-Fi, select the “Lehigh” Wi-Fi network, and make sure to put a check in the box to “connect automatically.” Click the “Connect” button.
If you’re using a wired connection to the LAN, double-check that you can see blinking lights on the jack that indicate a good connection.
Once connected to the internet, you should be presented with a screen that says, “Welcome to Lehigh University.”
If you do not see this “Welcome to Lehigh” screen, STOP and do not proceed offline.
Check your Internet connection and try starting over (reboot) or contact the LTS Help Desk for assistance.
Type your Full Lehigh email address (e.g. abc320@lehigh.edu) and choose Next.
On the “Enter your password” screen type your Lehigh password and select ‘Next’ in the lower right corner.
Duo Two-Factor Authentication is required here.
Once you have authorized the DUO request, the setup process will automatically initiate. It is important that your computer stay connected to the Internet while this process continues, otherwise you may need to start over. Depending on the network speed this will typically take 10-15 minutes, but if you have slower Internet that time can be longer. The setup program proceeds through three stages, and once all are listed as complete, the system will reboot, and take you to a desktop environment.
Depending upon the number and types of devices you have attached to the computer, there may be additional driver and software updates that will still need to be applied. Windows updates will be automatic, but you can also choose to initiate them.
Contact your LTS Computing Consultant to make any additional customization or software requests.
