macOS: Force Update MDM Profile for jamf

This procedure occasionally needs to be manually run on systems that are unable to automatically update their MDM (Mobile Device Management) profiles.

  1. Open a Terminal Window on the Mac, and run the following commands (you’ll be prompted for admin credentials):

sudo jamf removeMdmProfile -verbose sudo jamf removeMdmProfile -verbose <yes, run again> sudo shutdown -r now

  1. After the Mac restarts, open Terminal again, and run the following:

sudo profiles renew -type enrollment

  1. Click on the date / clock in the upper right of the screen to open the Notification Center and see the prompt fo updating the device enrollment.
