Wooclap Pilot
We are piloting a new polling tool called Wooclap. You can use Wooclap to make your classes and meetings interactive. You can drop live polls, word clouds, or quick quizzes straight into your PowerPoint or Google Slides. Attendees just scan a QR code with their phones to answer—no one has to download an app. It's a simple way to get quick feedback, check if people are following along, or just keep everyone from zoning out during a presentation.
How to get started
Here is a quick, step-by-step guide to help you get logged in and set up your first interactive poll.
1. Log In or Create an Account
Go to the website: Log in to our test instance of Wooclap.
Sign In: Click the Log In or Sign Up button in the top right corner.
Use your work credentials: Use your work Google/Microsoft account. Otherwise, sign up with your work email.
Please note: you can’t log in with SSO YET as this is still a pilot.
2. Create Your First "Event"
Start a new session: Once you are in the dashboard, click the blue "Create Event" button. (Wooclap calls every presentation or meeting an "Event").
Name it: In the top left corner, click on "My Event" to rename it something recognizable, like Q3 Team Meeting or Intro to Marketing.
3. Add a Question
Choose a format: You will see a gallery of question types at the top of your screen. Click on Multiple Choice or Word Cloud to start with something easy.
Fill in the blanks: Type your question (e.g., "What is our biggest priority this quarter?" or "How is everyone feeling today?"). If it is a multiple-choice question, add the possible answers and check the box next to the correct one (if there is one).
Save: Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
4. Run It Live!
Display the question: Click the "Display" or "Present" button next to the question you just made.
Let people join: A screen will pop up showing a big QR code and a short web link (like wooclap.com/YOURCODE). Your audience just scans the QR code with their phone cameras to join instantly.
Watch the results: As people submit their answers on their phones, you will see the results pop up and change on your screen in real time!
