Please view this 3-minute video for step-by-step instructions on copying an existing Turnitin assignment.
Sign in to your Course Site.
Toggle on Edit Mode (upper right-hand corner).
In the area you want the Assignment to appear, click the "add an activity or resource" and Select Turnitin Assignment LTI
Select content to enable deep linking for the assignments in your course. You will only do this once.
Copy assignments from previously created assignments.
Do NOT copy your old Turnitin assignments using the course site copy process. Delete if necessary.
You can browse your previous courses and use the search box to find specific courses or assignments (Note: you can only search one term at a time, and it must precisely match the course or assignment name).
Select one or multiple assignments using the checkbox next to their titles, or select the checkbox next to your course title to select all assignments within that course. Leave the box unchecked for keeping original dates, then click Copy.
Set new start, due, and feedback release dates and select which assignments to apply them to.
Change the dates for all multiple copied assignments by clicking the Select All checkbox. Then click Apply Date to apply these new dates to all copied assignments. Alternatively, you can scroll down and change each date individually per assignment.
Scroll down, click Save
Return to the Course Site window, scroll down, and click “Save and Return to Course”.
To amend due dates or update the majority of the settings, return to your new Turnitin Assignment link, click the gear icon in the upper right. Here you can update the Instructions and dates. Click on the optional settings for more.
To update the Assignment title or total points, go the the course site settings.
Note: Multi-part assignments are no longer supported with the current version of Turnitin.
