Jira mail handler configuration (just creating)

There are two types of mail handlers in Jira: One is accessed from the Gear in the upper right-hand corner (incoming mail handler) and the other is accessed in the Email channel (under Channels and Self-service) of a JSM project (mail channel.)

 

The incoming mail handler can put email messages in folders by email forwarding.

The email channel in JSM takes all email and puts it in the same place. You can funnel it to a specific request type and can manager Blocklists
