Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is a generative AI model from Adobe that creates and modifies images and other visual content from simple text descriptions.

A key feature is that Firefly is trained on Adobe Stock's library, open-licensed content, and public domain works. This makes the images it generates safe for commercial use and avoids infringing on the copyrights of other artists.

Access Firefly:

  1. The workstations in the https://lts.lehigh.edu/space/digital-media-studio-room-421 all have the Adobe Suite installed, as well as on-site staff available for assistance.

  2. You can also purchase a Lehigh Adobe license for you (or your class) at http://Software.lehigh.edu.

Firefly’s Prompt Allowances:

As a free Adobe user, you will receive 25 generative credits, which refresh each month.

The current cost of a generative image prompt is 1 credit per prompt.

If you have purchased a Lehigh student & teacher Creative Cloud standard subscription, it currently provides access to 1,000 generation credits, which refresh each month. These credits will expire and do not roll over from month to month.

Video generation, not included in a standard Lehigh License, currently requires an upgraded subscription or a standalone Firefly subscription. The current cost for one second of 1080p 24fps video is 100 credits.

  3. Select the content type. Choose between "Photo" or "Art" in the general settings located in the left column.
