Eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)
Eduroam CAT is a simple tool that helps people connect securely and easily to an organization’s Eduroam Wi-Fi network. It works on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Chrome OS, and Linux.
Installation
Steps to download and install the CAT app
Download Eduroam CAT:
Before visiting a new institution, or while you have another form of internet access there, go to cat.eduroam.org using your phone, tablet, or computer.
Search for Lehigh University
Alternatively, if you attempt to connect to an institution’s Eduroam wifi that requires use of the CAT app, you may be prompted to select from a list of organizations; search for and choose Lehigh University.
You’ll see a download option for your type of device (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, etc.).
Download the installer or configuration file for your device.
Run the Installer or Open the Profile:
Follow the instructions to install the profile. This sets up your device to connect securely and automatically to the eduroam network.
You may be asked to log in with your Lehigh username and password.
Use your full Lehigh email address
Connecting to eduoram using CAT
When you are at the visiting institution, simply select “eduroam” from the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your device.
Your device will automatically use the configuration you set up to log you in securely.
Remove the CAT app/network profile/certificate
Find the Network Profile or Configuration:
On most computers or devices, network settings or profiles (such as the one set up by Eduroam CAT) can be managed from the system’s Wi-Fi or network settings menu.
Sometimes, Eduroam CAT also installs a program or app that you’d remove like any other application.
Remove or Forget the Eduroam Network:
Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings.
Find the list of saved or known networks.
Look for “eduroam” in the list.
Select “Forget,” “Remove,” or “Delete” to get rid of the saved eduroam network.
Delete Certificates or Profiles (if prompted):
Some devices (like Macs, iPhones, or some Androids) may have installed a “profile” or certificate for eduroam.
Go to the relevant “Settings” or “Profiles” area (often in Security or General settings).
Find the eduroam profile or certificate and choose to remove or delete it.
Uninstall the Eduroam CAT App (if installed):
If you have installed an actual Eduroam CAT application or program (usually on older Android phones or some computers), uninstall it as you would any other app.
