Lehigh has a license for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software and Avast for Business to run on Lehigh owned computers including Faculty and Staff desktops and these applications are centrally managed by the LTS Security team.  Our shared windows network drives (H: drive and Common I: drive) are automatically scanned for infected files using Symantec AV and a mail notification is sent if infected files are found.

Email Phishing - the receiving of mail messages which try to trick you into divulging personal or confidential data.  With questionable message open in Lehigh gmail, select the small 'down arrow' next to the 'reply' button and choose 'Report Phishing'.   Lehigh has purchased SANS training modules called "Securing the Human"  for Faculty and Staff to help them identify phishing messages and not be as easily fooled.

The LTS Information Security team also monitors network traffic patterns and tries to identify infected computers to alert Students, Faculty and Staff when there may be a problem.
