A workflow application is meant to manage repetitive processes and tasks that occur in a specific order. There are several different types of workflow applications that LTS helps support. Below is a brief overview of each application's purpose and key features. If you are interested in using one of the tools below for a process in your area, please submit a consultation request with LTS, and choose Process Improvement in the dropdown for what you would like a consultation on.

Ellucian Workflow

Connects to our Ellucian and Banner ecosystem. Built on the industry leading ProcessMaker platform. Can integrate with DocuSign, upload files directly into the request for back and forth work, integrates with built-in Banner APIs, action by emails (approve/deny), timed events, can be set with automatic processing or require manual intervention, etc. If training completed, faculty and staff members can receive super user access to develop their own workflows to be used by their department or campus community.

Jira Work Management/Workflow

Jira is built on the Atlassian platform, and is what LTS uses for our help ticketing system. Built on statuses and transitions on a specific issue or task. Can integrate with other systems via APIs and send out notifications/email updates.

Trello

Operates within a Kanban board structure. Processes/requests can be setup to push to a board that allows users to move the request through different lanes. See the Trello Blog on the different type of workflows here.

Qualtrics Workflow

Qualtrics offers a way to trigger processes based on specific events within a Qualtrics survey. See the Workflows the Workflows Basic Overview documentation on Qualtrics website.

Slack Workflow

Newer tool built into Slack communication channels. Workflow Builder allows users to use "connectors" from other productivity tools like Salesforce, Google, and Atlassian. See the announcement here.
