The purpose of this guide: To help you sign up for Discord and Midjourney and generate images based on artificial intelligence (AI).
1 Create a Discord account at https://discord.com/register.
2 Download the Discord desktop application ("app"). Find the downloaded file on your hard drive. Run the installation.
3 Find your new Discord desktop app and sign in.
4 Add a channel to Discord via the "+" at the top left of the screen. (You could name the channel "Image Generation.")
5 While you are still logged into Discord, go to https://www.midjourney.com/. Click "Join the BetaSign Up" in the bottom right.
6 Look for a Discord pop-up screen that has just been launched on your computer. Click the button to "Join Midjourney."
7 Scroll to the top of your Image Generation channel in Discord. Click the button to "Add your first app."
8 Search for the Midjourney Bot in the App Directory by clicking the "Check it out" button.
9 Add credits. Maybe $10/month through the Basic Plan or $30/month through the Standard Plan. (You'll get about 200 image generation prompts/ month with the Basic Plan.)
10 In your Image Generation channel, use the prompt /imagine to begin generating images with Discord and Midjourney.
